pop culture by the-Px-corporation pop culture by the-Px-corporation
72" x 36" on masonite panel.

collage, acrylic paint, oil paint stick, oil pastel, pencil, stencils, spraypaint, silkscreen and clear christmas lights.

so this is what i have been working on in the past 3 weeks. i've never worked so many time on a single piece. the first layer is a collage with over 300 newspaper images and stuff. i took like forever. the fluo yellow part at the bottom is some silkscreened car crashes parts (surprised?).

it's about pop & media culture always showing the same shit over and over and over again but putting it in a new eye-candy format each time. sparkling & empty boxes. i added the word art ironically like when they use it in the "arts & entertainment" expression.
